This Is About.

It's a digital age, man. So to you we present our virtual talk show of Nonsense: The Silly. The Beautiful. The True. In our own words or those quoted by others. With our own art or that created by others. We will laugh. We will smile. We will entertain you all the while. So grab a drink, come in and let's chat. We'd like to meet you, your mama, and your hot cousin Fred.

My Two Grrrls

photo love

A coupla nights ago we were lying on our living room floor, sipping a glass of cheap red wine and painting our nails clear (yea, we know painting your nails clear seems a bit of a WTF moment, but hey, it gives a nice charlie sheen to 'em and it's the one color of which you cannot tell when it's chipping the hell off). So. There we were chillin the funk out, watching our beloved... hmmph. Well, then. We have thus far refrained from mentioning our Girls on the Show, since it seems a bit cliche, a whole lot juvenile (unlike any of our other posts) and one-half of F&J is not on board. But. Alas, we just can't hold back our love of Gilmore Girls. The dialogue gets us each and every time. And yeah, you kinda gotta totally suspend belief as no mother-daughter duo - nay, no one ever - talks like these bunnies do. But alas, we heart it. So witty. So offbeat. So I-can't-believe-this-made-it-to-television. Case in point:

Lorelai: Heh, you know what I just realized? "Oy" is the funniest word in the entire world. I mean think about it, you never hear the word "oy" and not smile. Impossible. Funny, funny word. "Poodle" is another funny word. In fact, if you put "oy" and "poodle" together, in the same sentence, you'd have a great new catchphrase, you know? Like, "Oy with the poodles already." So from now on, when the perfect circumstances arise, we will use our favorite new catchphrase: 'Oy with the poodles already.' I'm telling you, it's knocking "Whatchu talkin' 'bout, Willis?" right out of first place.

De lovely, truly madly deeply lovely.

Okay, then. That's all of our musing for this moment in time. We think there was a story starting out there somewheres, but it's gone for good. So this is all you get. Eat your porridge and like, deary poodles.
