O-six-o-sev was a doozy! Webster's added truthiness and wOOt as the words of the year. The veep shot a guy by acci. People are still peeved at FEMA. The news was completely and disgustingly consumed with Britney. Pam Anderson got married (again) and divorced (again). The fiery French prez divorced his enigmatic lady, and quickly took up with a new gf. We've got two Dems running neck-and-neck with more than plenty mudslingin' to go around. James Brown got down for the very last time. Pop meets indie meets hipster meets hip-hop got a lot more mainstream. Virginia Tech happened. Apple resurrected the video star. So did Youtube. The Patriots went undefeated. The Pakistani prime minister was assassinated. Imus demonstrated the definition of creeping meatballism. So did Isiah Washington. The Disney kids showed they just aren't that innocent (nudity...plastic surgery...pregnancy!) and uh, we think High School Musical is a bit more phoney now. The 7th and final HP book came out and and so did Dumbledore. Colbert runs for president....of South Carolina. Reality shows just keep getting grittier and trashier. And add Ty Pennington to the list of celebrity DUI's. Which have somehow become no big deal and possibly even a trend. Tina and others hopped on the Writer's Take On Things. Scorsese won for The Departed, well deserved well deserved clap clap. And we think the question of the year may be: Does Rehab Really Exist? But enough already. Let's talk. Whaddya think you'd choose for:
Due to an unforeseen clerical error on the part of our nut-brain of an office intern, the release of our dearies' new album/book/extravaganza was announced a wee bit early.
End scene.*

*Jude might have taken some liberties with the above dialogue in said scene. But we love Frances so, so much, our heart bursts every time we think of her and of fun phone calls during sleepy nights. So cheers to Fran and cheers to you and cheers to good nights of traipsing the city.

At the end of the long hard day, we just want to smile. We just want to laugh. And we just want to dance.
Our darling doo-doo Strippity-Doo sent us this video, and, it might've just been coincidence or it might've just been luck, but it came at a moment when the world was not sugary-sweet smiling down upon our heads and on top of that we had just glared at the postman for we're not exactly sure what. And then we got this video, and we pressed play, and we waited a second or three, and then we found ourselves smiling. And then laughing. And then dancing.
Oh, this world is a wonderful place. So please press play when your boss leaves the room, and shake it. Shake it. Shake it... well, you know the rest.

(Also, please note that there will be a sequel to this post. We can't tell you the who what and why, but we can say it involves our darling Frances. And Halloween. And a certain mask borrowed from a certain boss. So check back often and soon. It's worth the wait, we swear like a horny sailor in a porno.)

Oh! We lovesies this vidsies! Oh dearies, it is of most-impertiveness (please start creating new words too! It's ever so phun!) that you pretty-please-with-a-cherry-on-top (we've always found that a bit scandalous, to be honest) craaank your speaker volume,* sip a Red Bull through a skinny red straw & press play. Then bop your head, whistle along and maybe paint your nails fire-sex-engine red afterwards.
Because this song will make you bebop till you can't stop, and the darling trip-dippy boys of The Tough Alliance so genuinely enjoy banging and singing and bebopping to their own song, it will render you incapable of one negative thought. And you will probably want a cupcake afterwards. Because when and why would you ever not want a cupcake? Inconceivabil-icious. Indeed!
Well, then. Glad we're so understated and regal today, bunnies. Yes, ever the ladies, we are, ever the fashionable-trashy-sexalicious old ladies.

*And please note, dearies, that we genuinely understand it is not always possible to watch videos with the sound blaring while in ze workplace. However, we thinks you would still enjoy and benefit from partaking in the watching of this video even with no sound at all. None! Non! Nada! And also please note, dearies, that you will also acquire some most-lovely fashion tips (namely of the rolled-pants-turned-capris variety). Enjoy then, and carry on, you happy clams you.
