We all have problems:
Frizzy hair, flaky friends and a weakness for fried foods.
Or maybe no job, no money, no honey.
Or maybe no job, no money, no honey.
Or then again, riches and bitches and curses from witches.
Take your pick but any way you slice it, we're all a little fucked. We're all dealing with the same shitstorm that is our adult lives, though the things we turn to for help often differ. Prayer. Yoga. Self-help sections. Chunky Monkey. Booze.
But whatever it is, we're looking for more or less the same effect: a hug and some company. Because no one's an island and we're all looking for the time of our lives.
And in this time of need, for some reason there is this one line in this one song from this one very famous, very un-F&J but also very F&J rapper that always seems to make us feel better. Like we're not alone, like money can't buy happiness, like things will get a little better every day.
And this line is 'I got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one.'
Yeah, we can't really explain it either. But if you just try it, just try repeating it, it might kinda make your day.
So peace out and be happy. Enjoy your evening and take care of your friends. And when in doubt, pop in the Grey Album, rap along and remember that everybody's got 99 problems.
