This Is About.

It's a digital age, man. So to you we present our virtual talk show of Nonsense: The Silly. The Beautiful. The True. In our own words or those quoted by others. With our own art or that created by others. We will laugh. We will smile. We will entertain you all the while. So grab a drink, come in and let's chat. We'd like to meet you, your mama, and your hot cousin Fred.

Reading Rainbow for Grown-Ups.

Chickity-check this book out, yo.

And buy it for your Chicago born-and-raised Uncle Ned. Your Polish American cousin Little Ted. Or hang on to it for yourself, and peruse it in your king size bed (or sofa sleeper, whatevs).

Richard Nickel, what a pimp. Nickel was a true lobbyist and preservationalist for architecture all around Chicago. His photos are intriguing, realistic, and capture an important time in Chicago history- when most 19th century buildings were being destroyed. He sought to preserve and capture their art and legacy (especially the work of his idol, Louis Sullivan). This dude even died while forgoing his passionate but ultimately dangerous art.

Nickel sought after shots of women decadently dressed or those displaying a 'significant' attitude. His shots are interesting, have depth, and a passion for his hometown that well, inspires us to learn more and celebrate our hometown, too. But you don't have to take our word for it...

Butterfly in the sky. You can fly just as high. Take a look, it's in a book with F & J's bloggggg favs.
