This Is About.

It's a digital age, man. So to you we present our virtual talk show of Nonsense: The Silly. The Beautiful. The True. In our own words or those quoted by others. With our own art or that created by others. We will laugh. We will smile. We will entertain you all the while. So grab a drink, come in and let's chat. We'd like to meet you, your mama, and your hot cousin Fred.

The Big Bang of Plans. 2008 Edition

art love

It's here. It's upon us. The new year and all the promises and possibilities it brings with it. It's not so much resolutions as ideas for us, little crumpets. We can swagger, we can swish, we can take on all that we want at the very same time, if we so choose, or we can sit and snuggle with our brand new book. Whatever floats our boats, senoras. Whatever blows our hair back, GI Joes. You get our drift.

So, our thoughts, in a list, which is one of our favorite things to make...

*Make a homemade photo booth. Because we saw one online and it looked really cool, and we've wanted to own (and perhaps even rent out to friends and lovers on occasion) a photo booth for about a year and one-quarter now. It's Go time, moonpies.
*Study religion. All religions. Because we did this once during our senior year of high school at our community college, and totally peaked our interest, but we were just too busy living the high school life and making lists and organizing and saying good-byes and preparing hellos for the next step.
*Finish at least half of the stories we've started. Because starting is soo much easier than finishing.
*Write more love letters. Because we only have today.

and to get my typewrite up and running. cause nothing is better than a typed grocery list. or a typed note to pass in class.

oh...and guess what les is doing w/her typewriter. she takes the blank white matchbooks that bars or gas stations give out. and then she puts the little teensy into her typewriter and then writes a funny or cryptic message on the outside. then she takes the matchbooks back out into the world and leaves them in places. so any jim, joe or julie could pick 'em up and think, "hmmm....'poop on you'....inneresting."

genius...eh?!

Oh, oh, oh! I love that girl. I'm going to be on the lookout now all the time.

And add that to my 2008 list as well, get my pretty, darling, surprisingly heavy typewriter up-and-running. Excellent.
